Samara & Arriving to Bonanza

Our first days in Costa Rica have been full of fun!

The group is getting to know each other and sharing new experiences. On our fist night we had salsa dancing classes! The next day in Playa Samara, we received a surfing class and we were surprised that most of us were able to stand up on the board. The waves were strong and our teachers did a great job in teaching us the theory and then we practiced in the water.

On the morning of our second day, the group was divided in two boats and went to search for dolphins. Both boats were able to see white spotted dolphins and turtles and one of the boats even saw manta rays making spectacular jumps!

We said goodbye to the beach and headed to Bonanza. On our bus ride to the village we saw a sloth scratching and toucans flying. We had lunch with a beautiful view of Lake Arenal next to the volcano.

When we got to Bonanza, the community was waiting for us with a welcoming party and a traditional meal. The kids were very friendly and in no time, everyone was playing and having fun despite the language difference.

The group is settled in their houses and ready to work!

Pura Vida from all of us!
